Default refusal

Hi there,

I got a letter dated 2 May 2003 from adelaide Skilled Processing Centre. It
stated that my application for visa Class BN Skilled-Independent(Migrant)
visa has been refused. Would you mind telling me can I apply the visa again
and when can i do the application again?

Thanks

Can you rectify the reason you were refused?

AFAIK you can apply as many times as you want, and they can refuse you as
many times as they want if you dont meet the criteria.

Obviously if you do apply again, you'll be using an agent right?

Thanks for replying.

They stated that I could not meet the criteria at the time of decision for
the grant of a subclass 136 visa, which is at least 12 months in the 18
months immediately before the day when the application was made. Actually
I got relevant experience for several years before application, which was
assessed by professional body. I got refused because I went for studying
almost one year right before application.

Cheers

You can apply as many times as you like. Next time it would be better to
make certain that you comply with all the criteria BEFORE you lodge your
application. If you don't know what the criteria are then it would be a
very good idea to seek professional advice.

Vivats,

You may apply for a subclass 136 visa as many times as your personal savings permit. Each application is not cheap (A$1,795 at present).

You should consider hiring professional help, or do extensive research to ensure that you have actually met the basic requirements and have accumulated sufficient points to pass the points test.

The 12 out of 18 months rule is clearly explained in the Skilled Migration Booklet, which really should be read cover to cover if you prefer to DIY.

Vivats
Would be nice if you can provide us the timeline... You could apply as many times as you wish but as long as you are not sure about your eligibility it is better to opt some help from an agent.

Thanks, guys! It's very nice to have reply from all of you. Yeah, it's my
fault. I do think I should hire agent for help. Between, will they charge
high fee then?

cheers

Vivats,

Get in touch with the agents on this forum: (in alphabetical order
Alan Collett http://www.gomatilda.com/
George Lombard http://www.austimmigration.com.au/
Stephen O'Neil http://www.iscah.com/

All highly recommended by their clients.

Or look for one here: http://www.themara.com.au/

If you are considering hiring professional help, ensure it's a registered migration agent.
