It is possible to withdraw an application (and sometimes necessary for
people onshore because of the section 48 bar). But there is no refund
of the application fee.

I'm not sure what benefit there is for an offshore applicant
withdrawing the application - if he thinks he's going to get a refund
I'd be interested to know how he came to this conclusion.

Jude,

I doubt it. Once they have charged your card, your money is gone.......

as far as im aware, there is no procedure for withdrawal of a application.

so if you have paid a fee, then if you dont proceed you have lost the money, so you may as well just go along with it, if you get the visa, so be it.

cheers

Hi
I think if you withdraw the application before the fee is deducted then you may get the refund but once you applied and your fee is deducted, that is all. Your money is gone. So whatever the out come wait and see since you may not get the refund.

You will be able to recover you money if:

1 You have paid by credit card
2 You can show that the service that you have paid for has not been
provided according to the description given by the supplier, in this
case DIMIA.

If you simply change your mind for whatever reason, then you will not
usually be elegible for a refund.
