Default Refugee immigraton to NZ

Hi,

My grandmother is in her early 60's and doesn't really qualify to immigrate to NZ
under any catagories. Currently she is in Zimbabwe and it is not safe for her because
she is white. My question is where can I find refugee immigration?

By the way she is a matron at a boarding school are there many boarding schools in
the South Island?

Thankyou

I'm not an expert but you don't really apply to be a refugee - you just turn up. As long as you have papers to prove your citizenship then you are allowed to be conidered for refugee status and are housed in the community - not like Australia where you go into a detention centre (not a criticism of the policy by the way). There is a Zim refugee support group in Auckland (I think) who would be able to supply further info - try a google search....
