When i enclose the photos along with my 47sk form
do they need to be signed and certified on the back
along the lines of a uk passport application

or do i just write the name of the person on the back

I think you just need to put names on the back of the photos but just to be on the safe side I had ours signed by the solicitor who signed all the other paper work.
Hope this helps and good luck with the visa.

You just need to put the name and date of birth on the back of the photo

I read it as just having to put the name and DOB on the back. So that's what I've done, hope it's right!

I hope so as my application was sent off via agent so I am assuming that this is correct as thats what I'm paying them for.

Does anyone know what they use the photos for? I'm asking because my husband used his favourite pen to sign the back and then stuck all the pictures together. Of course the ink happened to smear the pictures a little, so I'm hoping it won't be a big issue.

I figure if they just use it to attach to the paperwork then it won't matter, but if they are going to use it for passports, medicals, etc., then they might not pass their inspection.

Any ideas?

My thought is that they don't read any of our info - just look at the pictures and see if we're not too dodgy and then its a wait just to make us think they're thorough!

My brother in law saw my husbands pictures and said they'd stopped letting convicts in! Not his best passport picture really!! LOL!
