Martin, I sent an application to the ACS that according to the mail system in the USA
arrived in Australia on October 4th. I waited until November 15 or so to call the ACS. As
it turned out, they had not received it. It took Australia Post another month and a half
to find my package and deliver it.
Once the ACS had my package, it took 8 weeks for them to process it. I would suggest
sending them an e-mail asking them if they received your application for skills assessment
for migration purposes. State your name as you had it on the phone. They should reply back
to you within a few days. I've had good luck with them by e-mail and phone, so you may
want to try either route.
Good luck! The stress level certainly goes down when you get your assessment back.
Cheers,
