Rang adelaide last night about london apps...
Just to let you all know, I rang Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre last night about the London Applications transfer.
They haven't started them yet although department set up and likely to start in next couple of weeks.
They anticipate processing them quickly and efficiently.....BUT.....their intention is to honour the original timeline estimates of 20 months average (not to beat it !!)
Sigh........
Mash.......

I'm tempted to say 'they would say that wouldn't they'
Considering they quote 4-6 months as standard for all priority
applications, if you add that to the fact that by definition the
transferred London applications are 12-16 months old, then the 20
month target looks reasonable in that sense.
But some cases will go through more quickly than others. And some
will take longer. As I've said before here and will undoubtedly say
many times again, each case is different and there will be some
variability in processing times.

As I'm getting really frustrated waiting to hear if Adelaide are starting to look at the transferred applications, have been thinking about getting the medicals and police checks done before we're asked for them in a vain attempt to speed things up when they eventually get round to picking up our application.
I know how to get the police checks done, but am more unsure how to get the right forms for the medicals without Adelaide contacting us first. Our agent was less than helpful when I rang and asked about the possibility of starting things off early. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?
Thanks, Parrot

When you submit the request, be sure to put in your valid email address. This is so that you will receive the notice of failure of delivery of the email. The reason? The email encoded in that page for first contact has a typo in it. In the failure notice, you should then cut & paste the email address and correct it, and re-send the request.
You should get the two forms in the mail shortly after that.

Thanks very much. Much quicker and easier to understand than the half an hour of waffling I got with my agent.

We also wanted to go ahead with medicals etc after waiting 15 months and hearing nothing, so we went onto the aforementioned website and got the forms. However, before we got medicals/X rays done our application was sent to Adelaide and our agent said that they may not accept London forms as the Adelaide ones are different.
Don't know how true this is, but don't want to take any chances and delay things further! Maybe some more knowledgeable bod can help?

Thanks Debbie, my agent did say something about Adelaide forms having your photos on them now with an Adelaide stamp on them but I still thought you could get them sent on if you asked for them. Wishfull thinking I suppose. Just so fed up sitting about and waiting for some news!

I wish London would hurry up and finish in that case, not far off 20
months now for me, but it seems to me that they are not doing anything
at the moment. I know what you mean about driving you nuts.
