Quick Question - Police checks
Is it just a case of walking into your local police station and requesting them to be done?

Re: Quick Question - Police checks
You can get the form from the police station. You then have to fill it in and send it off with the fee (£10 I thiink). It takes up to 40 days to come back and thats it. Really simple.

Yes, you can do it that way. You need to ask for a subject access form and will need ID to be able to get them done.
Or you can dowload them here: http://www.kent.police.uk/Freedom%20...20national.pdf
*Note to others, the above form is just for Kent, you need to find your own local site to download the form.

each police authority has different arrangements, we had to phone the headquarters and ask for the forms to be sent... some places you can pick them up from the local station and other authorities you can download the forms from
http://www.police.uk
Click on police forces tab and select your local force, on the left list you will find freedom of information, click that they go to how to obtain information....
Hope this helps!
