Hi Guys,

Just wondering if granted a 457 Visa should i sending my passport to Australia to get it stamped or can i get it stamped in Auckland. I live in Auckland at the moment and i have an Indian passport with NZ Permanent residency.

Any help would be highly appreciated

Hi Agathi,

You can collect the visa label in Auckland if necessary - read your grant email carefully, sometimes it's possible to travel to Australia without the visa label at all.

Thanks for your email George.But since i have an Indian Passport i am not eligible to Visit Australia without a Visa although i have PR in NZ

Hi Agathi,

The visa and the visa label are two different things. It is possible for some 457 holders - generally ETA eligible passport holders - to enter Australia and then have their visa labels affixed.
