Cool Question about Occupational Trainee Visa/ Melbourne

Hello, I live in the US and was told that I only had two options in order to continue my training (full cosmetologist including massage, nail technician, hairstylist, skin resurfacing etc....) in Melbourne Australia. Since I will be fresh out of the academy and have no relevant experience, I was told to either join a work abroad program (CIEE, Bunac, Kingsbrook, etc...) and work with them or to apply for an Occupational Trainee Visa and find a sponsor. Has anyone worked or trained on an Occupational Trainee Visa? Any other options would be great! Thanks!
