Default question about medicals?

Hi does anyone know if you can fail medicals for being overweight??My hubbby is stressing about this?? Healthwise he is never sick not even a cold, not had any operations, nothing at all.
Do you think this will negatively affect us?
Any help would be great

Hi
Try not to worry about this. They do record your BMI and if it is over 35 you automatically go into the 'B' pile but the only reason you would fail is if it was affecting your health in some other way ie blood pressure, diabetes etc. My husband had a BMI of 36 and his meds were cleared the day after ours at LCU. I've read many, many people on here who have had higher BMIs than that and passed without problems. I know there is little point in telling you not to worry because we all do before the medicals, but believe me, it won't be long before you are dishing out the 'don't worry' advice. The medicals really aren't that bad

What she said

There are plenty of threads on here with us all worrying about our weight & it seems that unless you are having health problems because of it, you should be fine!
Good luck!
