Hi,

Probably a question that has been answered many times,
What is a Statutory Declaration of equivelent legal Document? I have gaps in my employment history and need to supply this ???????

I don't know the 'proper' definition but in a nutshell it's you signing the doc and swearing in front of (e.g.) a solicitor that all this is true, etc, etc.

Then you'll probably be swearing in front of the solicitor again when he offers you his bill

And of course you can get it for free from Judges sitting in court , or local magistrates court , solicitors only charge about 5-20£ depending from memory.
From what I recall we had to place hand on bible and swear in front of the solicitor quite funny really, sitting in pokey reception going through this with loads of people watching who were also waiting..for some reason her office was out of use.... hmmmm shouldve got a discount.
