can anyone tell me what kind of qualifications i need for oz, i'm a male aged 35, partner is 36, daughter is 9. i've no qualifications but i'm prepared to get an HGV license or learn a trade to help me move. my partner is studying for an HNC in social care then looking to upgrade to an HND qualification the year after. am i going to fail with these qualifications ? hoping to move to emigrate with £40-£50,000 in 3 years time ..... do i have a chance ?

I really think the people in UK at the High Commission would know more about it than anyone here. I have heard that they can be very helpful, some people definitely get the impression that they are on their side.

anything is possible - if you want it badly enough.

My partner and I decided we wanted to live in Oz - but we didn't have enough skills - he had a class 1 HGV and an ADR licence. I had NVQ and business admin skills.

I retrained and qualified as a teacher - took a while but worth it. Set your mind on it - go see an emigration agent and get their advice.

OH has HGV Class 1 from UK, been told this means nothing here, will he have to re take this? Hope not!!!!
