Q:Skilled + spouse
Hi everybody
I'd like to migrate as a skilled independent ( I have 120 points) together with my friend as a spouse. Q1 - Age - I am 34 till June 2006. I'm affraid processing time will be longer then a year and I don't know will they count my age as 34 or 35 (which means only 20 points instead of 25). Then what if I'll archive only 115? Q2 - I and my partner are same sex couple. We are in'de facto' relationship over a year but can I include him as my spouse? I was thinking about interdependency for him but first I've to be PR so it means we're not going together. Thanks for all your help, Topazer |

You can't include a same-sex partner on a general skilled application. You can sponsor later on for interdependency, and for that you will need to be a PR and 'usually resident' in Australia. You should get some good professional advice on visa planning for your partner. Jeremy |
