I'm confused now, is it listed on the CSL but not on the MODL, or vice versa?
The CSL is a subset of the MODL, it is the occupations on the MODL that is in REALLY short supply in Aus, therefore if it is listed on CSL it automatically nets you bonus points for MODL, but some occupations on the MODL is not part of the CSL, they still get you bonus points, but not priority processing just yet.

Sorry, but you won't get MODL points, I was in the same position as you...
What you can do is apply for state sponsorship, I got it from Vic and that way your application will be processed quicker and you only require 100 points

Re: (production or plant engineer ) CSL but not MODL
My story....
Applied to Engineers Australia and got classified as an Electronics Engineer under the Washington accord, as my degree is Electronics Engineering
Applied for a 22/04 175 GSM visa
Applied to Vic for SS as a production and plant engineer (5+ years experience in production engineering) and was accepted, contingent on getting a positive assessment from engineers australia
Submitted a CDR to EA and got a positive assessment, CDR is pretty straight forward, the guide on their website is really helpful.
Once I emailed vic got a letter back in minutes with sponsorship approval
If I was to use this sponsorship i would need to reapply under a different ASCO code, which would mean that i would need to repay my application fee so at the moment I'm waiting for 175 to be processed

most people are not aware that there are some occupations that are on CSL but not on MODL, I asked a migration agent
