The process
Hiya,
We were wondering if anyone could clarify the process of visa application. This is our story so far and what we have been told by our agent.
TRA application sent today so we have been told we will start our visa application in the next few days. Once we get the green light from TRA and everything is signed and sealed with the visa application then that can be sent off. ONLY once we have the "big yes" back do we then go about getting medicals and police checks done.
Is this 100% correct?? This is the story as told by our agent and I'm just checking it out as the medicals/police checks part is really confusing me. Don't the visa people need these before they can say yes to us getting in??
I look forward to reading any replies.
Thanks!
Yvonne

No, that's not quite right.
You do your TRA, once that comes back with a positive assessment you then apply for your visa. Onc your application gets to the top of the pile so to speak, the case officer will request you get medicals and police checks done. Then they will give you their decision after a few weeks to a couple of months later.
