Default Previous residence

Me again.....just another quick question, OH was a previous resident when he was younger. How long do you have to have been there for it to count toward anything?? N would it count? Agent not sure.....thanks Ems

Former Resident visa normally requires 9 years residence in Australia before age 18. You can read all about it in booklet 8:
http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/booklets/booklets.htm

Otherwise it won't count, sorry, if he has lost his permanent residence. Form 968i has details: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/968i.pdf

If agent is "not sure" about things like this then you ought to concerned as they are supposed to know the details of immigration law.
