Previously in Oz 30 yrs ago (Parent Contrib Visa)
My parents emigrated to Oz in 1974 and stayed long enough to get the moeny to come back home (more or less). Dad worked and we have one of his tax forms.
Medicare was just being established so no money back from that. They also has child benefit and a tax subsidy for one child at school.
In total they were there approximately 18 mnths.
We only have the TFN - that's it!! The forms are asking for previous visa records, info on previously working in Oz and any government payments.
We have none of this!!
Do you think this will be a problem? Should they just fill in the facts they have?
Thanks everyone!

If it's just a contributory parent visa then just do your best and give them a little note explaining the situation. None of that stuff is going to affect your application now, it's all water under the bridge and out to sea.
Hope that helps.

One thing it may mean is that the waiting period for social security is closer to 6 months rather than the normal two years, once they are permanent residents again.
However any recoverable social security payments in the first *10* years will come from the assurance of support bond first, and then the assurer if this is not enough.
