Previous visa details
Can anyone help/ give us any advise on the following:
On the Skilled Independant Visa form there is a question regarding previous visits to Oz and the relevant Visa number. My wife emigrated with her family back in the 70's on the 'go to Oz for £10 deal'. Obviously she and her family didn't stay, infact they were only out there for about 18 months, but we do not have any exact dates.
We tried contacting the Embassy in London but they never replied to our e-mail. Without knowing where else to turn we sent the application form off with a note giving approximate years but not much else.
Has anyone else had the same problem?
Does anyone know if this will affect the time to process our application, and if there is anywhere we can find the exact details if we are required?
We have recently sent off our application, unfortunatly we didn't find this forum until after it was sent....
Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Paul,
This is not worth losing sleep over. Just give the best details you can. There are
ways you can enquire through the Department (use the FOI form 424 if you want) but it
just isn't worth the trouble. If you give her name, date of birth and the approximate
period that should be enough. In your covering letter to Adelaide explain that you
have done your best.
