Default Pre-grant Letter

Hi
I was wondering if anyone knows if we will recieve a pre-grant letter as we sent our passports with our medicals. We were advised to do this by our agent, they said it may cut a couple of weeks off the proccessing time, or will we just get our passports back with the oh so wonderful visas in them?

I would just like to thank all members on this site and wish i would have found it sooner, i find myself reading threads and peoples feelings and emotions are just the same as mine. So iam not going mad everyone feels like this. I think that when you apply you should be given this site as a guide and support. Iam going to reccomend this to my agent (Angela Williams at Four Courners).I don,t think we could have done it without her.

If anyone is planning to move to Wollongong area (Dapto) please drop me a line.

Wishing everyone well and hope your visas come soon

Did you also send off your police checks with your application? Asking a question like yours is as good as asking for the length of a string, really.

Hi Deb,

Nice to hear from another potential Wollongong neighbour! I guess
sendng your passports with the medicals and police checks, is one way
of shaving a bit of time..I don't think with the different case
officers that anyone can be really specific about the time it will
take.. you could look at timeline and come up with an average time
from the diffirent applications, I don't think you will have too long
to wait tho..

I am in Australia (Coniston, Wollongong) on a work visa and anxiously
waiting for the call up for medicals for my PR..actuallly I gave up
waiting, as it's 7 months since I applied..so going to get my medicals
and police checks done in the next two weeks

cheers
Vincent

Not everyone gets a pre-grant. It seems to be a bit of a lucky dip.

Hi
Does everyone receive a pre-grant letter?
We didn't send our passports with our medicals, but have not heard anything since the letter asking our assurer to lodge the bond money - which was about month ago.

We have heard from people who have received a grant letter at the same time as receiving their copy of the letter requesting the bond money be lodged? Should we have received the pre-grant letter by now - and if so does the fact that we haven't mean there is a problem with our case - I'm worried now - Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. Want to wish everyone the best of luck in getting their visa's - I though it the form filling was horendous but I was wrong............................ the waiting is definatley the worst part !!

Not going to Wollongong but my mate from college migrated there 3 years ago so will visit frequently once in Melbourne. She lives in Figtree.
