Well I hope other May people have heard from Adelaide. I got receipt of my application today, it just informed me they had received our application on the 29th of May and that they had taken the money.

Whoa, onto the next waiting game now waiting for full acknowledgement, did they say how long you will wait for that.
Still no news for us, have given up getting pre-acknowledgement now as they have had our visa four weeks so much for hearing in 7 days!

Our visa arrived in Aus on 10th April 2007, I know the money was taken from our account on 23rd May, but we have had no pre-acknowledgement, or acknowledgement either. Getting a bit frustrated know, just wish they would give me a ref number so I can scan my police checks. Meds are already there, so maybe we might just get a CO straight away. (Wishful thinking)

Our app was received on the 26th March. We had a pre acknowledgement on the 25th May receipting the payment and saying we should get a full acknowledgement in approx 3 weeks.

We haven't heard anything else and the 3 weeks is now up... my concern is that the pre ack stage is checking that you have applied for the right visa and are eligible to apply... if this is so they will send it all back and credit back your money.... I know ours is ok but it doesn't stop that little doubt in your head saying its all wrong and its on its way back, so am now checking cc card to see if they have credited the mony back!!!!!! I feel hysteria creeping in!!! Hubby thinks I'm losing the plot!!!

Anyway in a serious mode.....I do know there is a huge backlog and they have changed the timescales from 7 days to 6 weeks for receipting applications and you can send a blank email to them for their timescales, they update it every Tuesday.

Here's hoping everyone moves on to the next stage this week

Apparently acknowledgement is currently running at 10/11 weeks after application is received. So anyone who applied the first week of April should be getting acknowledgement any day now!

So I should be getting mine around 7-14th of August.

PS I was starting ti get worried Royal Mail had put our application in the surface mail bin! So I breathed a sigh of relief, five days isn't bad for a £5!

Just got my pre acknowledgement today and monies debited...my application was received 1st June
