Default Is it possible to apply for more than one visa?

Can you apply for more than one visa at a time? My situation is....

I won't have enough points (5 short, grrr) for a 175 in a couple of weeks & won't have my skills assessment through before my b'day (I lose 5 points on my b'day)

I've been offered a job & sponsorship on a 457 & would like to take it to get there sooner rather than later. I don't want to be in a situation where I can't get a permanent visa at the end of this time.

My uncle has said that he will sponsor me (he's a citizen), but I'm guessing that getting a 176 granted could take some time & I don't want to hang around here for any longer than I have to!

So, can I apply for a 457 to get there quickly & apply for a 176 at the same time?

Yes, but make sure that you withdraw your 457 application immediately if your 176 is granted first or it will cancel your PR status
