Hi all,

I Did my Diploma In Network Engineering in 2001 @ the age of 17 and joined a small firm as a System Administrator, then on 2004 ive completed my A+ Certification and 2005 Completed my CCNA Training, then in 2006 i completed my MCSA Messaging+Security, MCSE Messaging+Security, MCTS, MCITP, MCDST, Network +, Server +, Security + Training Programs, then i sat for all my the exams on 2007, and CCNP on 2007 End.

in the mean time I have been Promoted to Network Administrator on 2004 & Internet Security Officer in 2006.

Can i get a possitive assesment from them, Please let me know any one have a idea about this, cz they might think that ive completed my MCSE on 2007 and working from 2001, is this a problem, please answer me, im fully confused, cz, my agent in sri lanka said its ok, but im not satisfied with her, cz she is nt a IT person, so plannng to change the migrant agent,

ive done IELTS also, got through Listning 8.5, Speaking 6, Reading 6.5, Writing 6, Overall 7

Please give me idea abt this issue, help me is it Group B or RPL

Dear Starwin,

Yes, any MCSE is acceptable and if claiming work experience prior to the date of the MCSE then you will be required to provide at least two project reports. Can't comment on whether your work experience is sufficiently professional.

Is the project report a new requirement? I wasnt asked for one a I claimed work experience pre MCSE.

starwin4u, I think that you will have to redo your IELTS as you need to score a minium of 7 on each test not an average score of 7.

Dear XX,

Project report requirement has been there since at least 2004. It can be discretionary; sometimes people doing their own applications compensate by providing too much detail so the assessor might have smiled on you in that light, but generally the ACS case officers who prepare applications for the assessors may not let you through without the project reports if claiming work experience prior to the qualification.

Starwin's IELTS may be enough if he only needs 15 points for English.

Oh well I will consider myself smilled upon then, the MCSE was just to fit through the Group B door, I had many years of high level experience pre and post but didnt fancy doing RPL.

True about the IELTS, starwin is good to go if he only needs 15 points for English.

If you have a diploma in IT and enough work experience it should not be a problem.

I had only 2 year technician diploma in IT from year 2000 and 7+ years of experience and was suitable for group B. I did RPL since wasn't sure. I did several courses also but not MCSE. If you wanna be on the safe side make RPL.

tnx for ur reply guys, im very much intrested to have a agent for the assement who can help me on writing project reports, can any one specify a correct agent for me to speak with, im in sri lanka, can i use a agent through mail and discuss, i can pay for him, but he should help through out the assesment process
