Lasanthi,

from what i know the practise here is that your local police station gets the investigation requests from the police HQ, where the HQ guys get it from AHC. You better keep probing HQ(Through a known cop) to see whether they have sent it to the relevant police station in your area. If so go there and inquire. I know of few people who got it done this way. I'm not sure whether the police gives you the report to be sent to Adelaide, one of my friends had surprise when a cop once visited his place for these formalities. He has been asked to come to the cop station in 2 weeks dunno for what, cos it's in the coming week. Shall let you know then. Hope this info helps.

Best of luck

Coming to the main issue. You must inform your Case Officer about the situation telling him that it may take time by the local authorities.

No it should not have any negative effect other than that it can delay your case till the time PCC reaches DIMIA.

About the stat declaration I have no idea at all... sorry for that..... may be some one expert will put some light.

I am not from Sri Lanka.... So no need for declaration for me.... My last documents reached 17 days ago and now I am waiting for the final verdict.... My case timeline as as follows:

04/05/2005 Skilled Ind. (136 NON MODL) Received by DIMIA
06/05/2005 Acknowledgement by Email
23/08/2005 Spouse IELTS & addl empl. Related Docs Rcvd by DIMIA
15/09/2005 Medical/PCC/1022 requested.
27/09/2005 Medicals reached LCU, Sydney
27/09/2005 DIMIA did telephonic enquiry to my Employer
11/10/2005 PCC & Form 1022 Reached DIMIA.
