Default Parramatta 457 timescales?

Hi all

I appreciate this is probably one of the most common posts on here, but does anyone have any recent experience of 457 timescales through the Sydney/Parramatta office?

Nomination went in on 8 September, I applied for my e457 on 13 September, but its just sitting at "Application fee received".

How long does it take for the nomination to be approved, until this happens then nothing can happen with my side?

Start date is pencilled as 14 November, and would really like to get out there at least a week before to start getting settled. Employer is desperate for me to start.

Cheers

how long is a piece of string? - it could be anything from one week to about 12 weeks or more for this visa approval.

Thanks for the input, I know the timescales are somewhat capricious to say the least, was just wondering if anyone had any recent experience though to at least give us some sort of idea if they are at the bottom, middle or top end of that estimate.
