parents
A friend of mine is now considering moving to Australia. Her main concern though is leaving her mother behind.
My friend has 2 children one aged 6 and a baby and would like to take her Mum along to help look after the children.
Her mum is 55 and has no assets as such, ie no house to sell. My friend is prepared to support her Mum financially.
The question is, are there any types of visa available to the mum?
or would she have to be able to prove that she could support herself and apply for a retirement visa. There will be one remaining child left in the UK and I believe that she has sisters already over in Australia.

Contributory Parent visa may be an option 2-3 years down the line. She ought to read the Parent migration booklet to know more.
