Nope, I have to leave the country to get mine!!!!(came in on a 457 as we were so fed up with waiting- 11months and 2 weeks from acknowlegement, but started with agent in June 07.) In fact it has taken so long we have to renew our passports before leaving the country to get the treasured pr sticker. Anyone any idea how long that will take for Oz based person to get new UK passport?

I had a look at this the other day, just trying to find the link for you. Standard is about 4 weeks, unless you have an urgent case in which case you can send them your itinerary and they fast track it. (I did this in NZ and it took 3 days)

Patience has never been my strong point......and I have a feeling that I have been sent this long long wait as a way to teach my a little !!!!! Cannot think of another reason!!!!!

But let's not digress......I am truly happy for you and the rest that have recently received visa's.
