All applications with a valid payment have now been receipted. The ASPC is acknowledging offshore applications received on 23 August 2007.
Please note that any delay in acknowledging an application does not affect the date on which a valid application is recorded as having been received and does not delay processing of the application.
Once an application has been acknowledged it will be allocated to a case officer for further assessment as soon as possible, however, the ASPC receives a large number of applications and you will not be contacted immediately.

Hi, we are paper based application went in 27 Aug-fully ack with file number 16 Jan. Had email from agent this am requesting we check a checklist of info sent. We think this must be a good sign if questions are being asked (someone is looking at our file). If they allocating CO's from 11 Sept then what about August 27th?

Yeah were using an agent (1st Contact), and we have frontloaded our meds and done pcc's in the hope things will move faster. It can't get much slower!!!

Our agent applied for us using the paper route the back end of september and we received acknowledgement 9th October. Still waiting to hear anything else but at least things look they are starting to move ![Big Grin](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

It's very confusing that some people who applied ages before have only just had their receipt etc. It would be interesting to hear how many applications flooded the system in Aug/Sept as clearly the impact has been great.

Alot of people applied on the old system which changed as of the 1st sept, Thats why there was a lot to get through a big rush in July and August because some of the points changed. Any one who applied pre Sept got caught in the back log and post Sept applications started very slow but they are starting to catch up.
