Default OZ: Spouse Visa London, pre-Sept 2001..Anybody still waiting?

Hi all, Looking at the Oz Immigration Timetable site at
http://www.webappcabaret.com/austime/index.jsp It appears that I have been waiting
the longest for my de-facto spouse visa among those who have registered. Is there
anybody out there who applied before September 2001 in London and is still
waiting? Dean.

Hi Dean,
Why don't you give AHC London a call! I did the Thursday, I was told that there was no problems with the application. I called them on the pretext that I had not received any acknowledgement from them as regards to sending in the medicals/police checks and other info they required from us. I was told that everything was fine and should be hearing something soon.......We then received the letter, Tuesday stating visa was grated..........Can but try, don't get anywhere if don't ask.

Regards
Leeann & Jase

Dean We applied at the end of August 2001 and are still waiting. Shouldn't be
long now. Mark

Hi Leeann, Been there, done that, (twice in fact.) I phoned them on 1th February and
after 40 minutes on hold, was told that they were now processing August 2001
applications and as mine was lodged on the 29th August, it would be processed very
soon. I was told my case officer would be in touch within "a couple of days". I
called again on 4th March, as I hadn't heard anything, and this time got through in
just 15 minutes. However, I was told even less information than last time. "Your
application hasn't been processed yet" was basically the answer to any question I put
to them. Dean.

Hi Mark, What date did you apply? (I applied 29th August) and what team have you been
assigned to? (I was team 1). Cheers, Dean.

Hi Dean,

Sorry to hear you had no joy with them, hopefully you'll get your visa's granted soon. It makes you wonder what there doing, especially as you applied before us. Ours wasn't straight forward as they required solicitors letters confirming that my son (previous relationship) was able to go without getting his 'father' to sign a consent form. Now though it seems that he's decided that at the last minute he's going to try and stop him going, so we've got our visa's, sold our house and due to move out next friday and may have court action looming......so now.......all we can do is hope and pray that we'll be going to Aussie land. I can tell you that the joy of receiving that letter was soon deflated.

Anyway enough doom and gloom and think positive and all that, not only us but also you at receiving that long awaited visa.
Regards - Leeann + Jase

Dean,

Application was sent on 24th August, acknowledgment received on 9th October, assigned
to Team One. Since then, no news.
