Hi,
We are have been looking into emigrating to Perth, for some time now. We attended the Australian Expo in London in April where we met Global Immigration services. We sent of information as requested and have tried to contact them on three separate occasions to no avail.
As anybody got any other idea`s that may help us.
Thanks, Aubrey & Chris.

There is a temporary retirement visa but it is horrendously expensive.
If you have the right skills then an employer sponsored temporary visa may be possible.
Employer sponsored PR visas are available to the right person but get much more difficult as you get older.
You really need to talk to an agent. Try another company.

Aubrey & Chris,
As aforementioned by the previous person, you have limited options available to you, depending on your skills, budget and circumstances. Once you pass the 45 mark then it becomes a little challenging, but not impossible.
If you would like to know your options then you may wish to take our free online assessment (go to the website noted below). We will outline the pathways and associated costs and you can decide from there.
This forum is not suitable to discuss your personal details, as I am sure you can appreciate.

1. Invest in a business - look up business visa's in www.immi.gov.au
2. have a local business in WA sponsor you for employment (plenty of info on the immi website)
3. Investor Retirement Visa http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/spec.../405/index.htm
there may be others but thats what i can think of t the moment

While i was waiting a decision on my visa and thinking i would be turned down. I was talking to an old work mate who told he works with a guy at Sky (digital installations etc) who was over 50. He got a visa no problem.
Certain skills seem to be ok. But this was in 2007. Things have changed a lot since then. If you can get a sponsor you may have a chance. I got my visa with help from people on here. But what may work for one application may be different to others.
In my case the visa was a regional sponsored one.
Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (Subclass 119/857)
You may not be able to pick your area and have to work for them for 2 years. But after that you will be able to move on if you desire. Good luck.
