Dear All,

I got my ACS letter confirming my profession under 2231-79 (.net technologies) and I am also awarded with MODL points

Now I am planning to apply for visa. I am considering to apply online. I am bit confused about the documents requirement. Do I have to scan original documents and attach them with my application or I have to scan the certified copies of the documents.

Additionally, if I lodge online application and attach documents with it, do I have to send the copies by courier also?

Do I have to show any funds to the immigration authorities?

Please feel free to give any tip/advice for visa application process.

Hi,
Congratulations I hope you are planning to lodge visa under 176 class as it is the fastest route in current scenerio... You can scan original documents in color or copies duly certified... both are acceptable. you dont need to send it by courier if you are making application online... there is no need to show funds.. You will get a checklist of documents to be uploaded with ur application once u get ur TRN number...

how much processing it will take now after submitting application? any idea?

You dont need to have job offer for applying 176 but need a sponsorship from state which is very easy to get... and as well a fastest process now a days....if applying for 175 and your skill is not on Critical Skill List then one cannot estimate the time require for processing

All MODL skills are listed in Critical Skill List (CSL). So .net is also in this list.
This is the statement listed in Critical Skills List:

Computing Professionals -- where the applicant's specialisation is
listed on the Migration on Demand List (MODL).

I don't know how to get sponsorship from state. What is the process and what are its benefits?

to make an application for the 176 is it essential to have a degree or can time experience in a choosen profession cover this?

if your occupation is on csl then i think you dont need to take state sponsorship to push ur application process faster.

I am also applying in couple of months from now. I just need to get a verification on what you have said for scanning original documents. Would it enough to scan all the original documents like experience letters and eductaional certificates and attach for online application. I am a bit confused as DIAC has mentioned in many places for submit certified copies. Would the scanned copies suffice this?

Yes I also have uploaded all the orginal documents in color and uploaded. If you are scanning phocopies then it will require to be certify...best of luck

what my understandings now are:

1 - Scan (color) original documents (experience letters, educational docs, any certifications, passport, ielts, photographs, ACS letter etc.) and upload them.

OR

2- Make photocopies of original docs, verify them by Notary Public Officer then scan these verified copies and upload.
