NZ - numbers applying
Hi all,
Someone posted in the last couple of days about the record numbers of people applying for NZ PR. We're preparing our application at present so can anyone advise..
How high are the the current numbers applying to NZ?
The limit set by Govt is something like 27,000 skilled immigrants per year. Anyone know when the year runs from?
Thanks in advance for any responses/links.
Rich

It industry in NZ is a bit strange. They complain that there are loads of vacancies unfilled but they are all looking for someone who can do everything and pay them nothing.
IT projects can get in a state over here because project management and business analysis are seen as a waste of money. They expect developers to do this themselves in a lot of cases, hence the problems.
If you are a multi-skilled IT person with the right image, able to communicate well with customers and don't mind rolling your sleeves up and doing anything then you'll fit in just fine.
