NZ and 50 Points for Qual!
Please help!
The NZ immi site mentions that a diploma would get 50 points for skilled
visa. It also then states that the BTEC HND or HNC have been approved by
NZQA as 50 points.
I've got the Ordinary Nat Diploma in Comp Studies from 1988 (2 year full
time course). It's going to cost me to get the NZQA to assess this.
Does anyone know if it's worth 50 points or not?
Any help welcomed!

I really dont think that NZIS will accept your OND as 50 points. They are very insistant that your course must fit the titles they issue.
I would say that an NZQA assessment will be essential for your situation. I could be wrong but I dont know if they will score you high enough for the 50 point bracket....I hope they do though.

Hi Chameleon.
I`m in a similar situation, I`ve got a Diploma in Humanities from Trent Uni worth 120 credits. We`re hoping this will be worth 50 points. Looks like we`ll have to fork out for the NZQA prelim assessment just to find out.
Is there anyone out there who can give us a clue?

Just had a reply from the NZQA about my Diploma and it`s good news.
They`ve assessed it as level 6 which means it`s worth 50 points.
Time to send in the EOI methinks.
