Welcome to the visa club Burno.

Everyone else, it's coming I know it. I have been told that you should expect to see an increase in the number of visa grants over the next three weeks or so.

Good Luck

Hi Iceman, you calmed down yet?

I read about the increase in visa grants too, due to them getting more staff to cover the backlog at LCU.

Fingers crossed for everyone!

Thanks.
The rest of them aren't far away, because LCU is even increasing staffing to get the apps through at an increased rate....

Hi Guys,

Nothing here today. Oh well, we'll try again tomorrow and if it doesn't happen then we will have to hold our breath over the weekend. (It would have to be a long weekend - wouldn't it???).

Good luck to everyone still waiting and Iceman - hope you enjoyed your celebrations last night.

Donna - don't worry about last night. I wasn't 'billy no mates' for too long!! Not sure about the chat room. Conversations always seem to head downwards in there (I didn't realise it was that type of 'chat room').

Speak soon.

Carol

Chatrooms ????

Funnily enough the letter you get from the case officer is very formal, and just says something like On XXXXXX a decision was taken to grant a XXXX to the following etc etc etc, and then at the end says something like, I would like to take the opportunity to wish you every success for your future in Australia. I think I will send off the passports either tomorrow or Monday (you are supposed to give them 3 days to transfer your details to London from Adelaide.

I know it's easy for me to say this now, but hang in there, I know you are really close. I think John and Debs made our application so smooth and straightforward. I was advised by someone else (an agent) to use one in Australia, and I'm glad I did, because I believe it speeded things up alot.

If you don't get it this week then I am almost certain you will next week. Anyway, you will still head out before us, so when we arrive I shall expect to see you waiting at the airport holding up a big namecard.

Unless I post on here again before the end of the week, I wish you all a peaceful Easter.

Thanks Iceman - and the same to you and yours.

Got to take the kids to the Stations of the Cross on friday. I remember it well as a kid. Good Friday 3pm - then 2 1/2 hours later you finally got out.

Hopefully our priest will speed things up a bit (he usually does for regular mass).

Speak soon.

Thats great news that the visa's are flowing through now. I am still getting used to the fact that we have ours. The solicitor rang today, we are due to exchange tommorow and then complete on the 18th. I am going to book our tickets this weekend and then hopefully goodbye England the first week in May. I just feel at a bit of a loose end now that my visa is done and i am not having to panick about that !! Anyone else feel like that?
Good luck all I remember when I opened my grant email its a feeling I cant describe I hope you all get yours soon.

Hi,
Not sure about a leaving party but lots of meals with family and friends etc.
I have spent the last few years rewiring, plastering, and plumbing peoples houses so they all want to take me out and treat me. will be 30 st by the time I reach the beach.

Hey All,

Been out the loop for a while, as been away with work. Great news on everyone getting there VISA's. They really seem to be coming thick and fast now, so exciting for everyone.

Well I have my case officier now. Went and go my x-ray done today and medical is booked in on Tuesday. Just need to sort my police check. So hopefully I will be done in the next few months. Fingers crossed.
