Non Contributory Parent Visa
Just interested has anyone on here or anyone's parents' done this? If so how long did it take from application to grant of visa?

I heard recently that since the cap was put on the parenting visa applications that only those applications that were with case officers at the time had been processed.
In other words since the cap no new applications have been granted. As such there no one can tell you what the wait will be, as none have been granted to new applicants since the cap was implemented.
Remembering that after you wait 20 years to get a visa, you still need to pass the Health test in order to get the visa granted.
I believe the Rudd government increase the cap limit this year to around 2000 places (1000 couples) and previously the cap was 1000 per year.
