Default No grant letter yet - six wks after bond was issued

Whats the norm,

Our assurer issued the bond 6 weeks ago and no grant letter yet,
The problem is, as my husband is subject to a health undertaking, we
had only 5 1/2 months to validate our visa's at the time of pre-grant
letter.
but due to the delay since the bond was issued, we now only have less
than 4 months at this stage should the grant letter come throu the
door right now.
(all the todo's ie sell house, removal co's,etc etc ON HOLD untill
grant arrives.)

All we found out via ph call to adelaide was that we now have a new
case officer.(no other info given)

1. Is this delay the norm at this stage of the process.
2. why the change of case officer.
3. any advice please!! please!! please!!

regards
Kobi
