Default Newbie seeking advice please

Hi folks.
My partner and I (and kids!) are looking to move to Oz. We are both skilled migrants on the skilled list. We are maybe looking at my partner applying for a 189 visa as they are younger and has age points.
As I am intending to work too do I still need to do the skills assessment or do I just register to work as a midwife?

Sorry that bit isnt clear!

Are both occupations on the SOL? As opposed to the CSOL that is.

Age points is definitely one factor to consider in deciding who should be main applicant, ease of skills assessment is another - what is your OH occupation?

If you are not the main applicant then no you don't need a skills assessment, you would just need to register.

I suggest you check out AHPRA registration for your partner as I have read examples of where it has not always been straightforward for OTs

Yes, the skills assessment for you as a midwife is likely to be easier.

Check your points positon, and maybe also look at doing an IELTS test to secure additional points.

Note that you will need to do the Academic version of the IELTS for an ANMAC skills assessment.

Best regards.
