Ive got everything ready to hand in BUT my passport has been through
the washing machine 'doh'
im going to get a new one asap, and ive been told a minimum of a week,
do i have to hand it in with my application or after its been granted
do i go down there and they do it there and then?
Im applying at the london office and ive got a uk passport

If you do it in person they will verify it there and then and effectively make a certified copy. You can then take the original away and get it replaced. Might be worth asking them when you are there, whether the visa itself needs to be put into the exact same passport as the one used as evidence.

You need to send your Passport in with your application. Your Visa will already be stuck in and stamped up when they send it back to you.

I would say best get a fresh passport pronto and then send it all off, then you'll know you have no worries.

Is there a problem for you to wait a week to get a new Passport?
