Hi Lou

Ive chilled right down now. We have booked a holiday for Sept and are looking forward to it big time.

Gives us something other than Australia to think about, and we have to redo our meds anyway so like a good meal, it cant be rushed.

I guess you have little choice other than to chill but i'll still be giving out a huge cheer when you eventually get it. Are you going to redo your meds before you hear anything from your CO? Perhaps it's a good reason to contact him/her and ask what you should do.....

I think if we haven't heard by September, we will redo them.

I would rather redo them before we go to Africa than after.

But I shall check with Agent 007 - The Lombard.

Dont know if it makes a difference to be honest, Im just worried what we may pick up on holiday and how it will affect the meds.

We shall see.

I'm sure you will have heard something by September. Maybe George can contact your CO and ask what you should do? I know the agents don't like to but the COs, but it might just give them the kick in the backside they need.

I would be more than happy if they requested more meds before we go to Namibia.

In case we come back with some bug or another, at least we wont have the meds to worry about.

I am SOOOOO excited Dorothy I could pee my pants.

And I saw John Howard on TV this morning, he looks even smaller - bless his socks of cotton.

Hello there stranger!

Yep, still waiting.

Actually, Hubby has had security clearance processed. Our meds have officially been requested - which we had done this afternoon.

It hurt a tad paying another £400 to have them redone, but as our first lot had expired, thats just the name of the game.

None of us imagined that 16 months down the line we would still be waiting.
It serves as a warning to those in high risk countries, to not frontload I suppose.

Anyway, all being well - its just our police checks to come back and we hope to be out there beginning of Feb.

Hows things with you?

Well, we are expecting our police checks back very soon (fingers crossed).

Final hurdle now - we haven't heard anything about the meds which we did on 20 June, so don't know if they are OK or if I have to have further asthma tests.

But I cannot wait until I can send off our police checks

This last bit of waiting is so much harder than I thought.

Anyone else from a high risk country still waiting?

Can't wait to see that.
I was thinking last night that it was one year ago this week that we got our visas. How time flies, eh?
