New Consolidated Skilled Occupations List
http://www.comlaw.gov.au/Details/F2012L01451
The Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List (CSOL), is a single list of occupations for employer sponsored and State / Territory nominated skilled visa Subclasses.
The CSOL replaces the Employer Nominated Scheme (ENS), Temporary Business (Long Stay - Subclass 457), and General Skilled Migration (GSM) State / Territory nominated Skilled Occupations Lists.
Good luck to all at this time of many changes!
Best regards.

Re: New Consolidated Skilled Occupations List
In case your wondering why there is a schedule 1 list and a schedule 2 list:
Schedule 1 to this Instrument, the Skilled Occupation List (SOL), is used to determine eligible occupations for non-sponsored or nominated skilled migration purposes. This is for:
Subclass 189 visa;
Subclass 485 visa;
Subclass 487 visa, if the applicant is not nominated by a State or Territory government agency;
Subclass 489 visas, if the applicant is not nominated by a State or Territory government agency;
Subclass 885 visa; or
Subclass 886 visa, if the applicant is not nominated by a State or Territory government agency.
Schedule 2 to this Instrument, the Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List (CSOL), is a single list of occupations for employer sponsored and State / Territory nominated skilled visa Subclasses.

Re: New Consolidated Skilled Occupations List
But if you're not nominated by a state or territory government you must nominate an occupation from schedule 1

I read it that if you are after SS then you can nominate an occupation from either list (schedule 1 or 2 )
But if you're not nominated by a state or territory government you must nominate an occupation from schedule 1

There's no way that anyone will be able to tell you that. I doubt if even DIAC could right now! Just keep an eye on the allocation dates.

Not to a GSM application. Why on earth didn't you go for a spouse visa instead? That probably would have been a hell of a lot quicker than languishing in the bottom of priority five!

Re: New Consolidated Skilled Occupations List
Hello Everybody,
This query is about the Occupation Ceilings listed out by SkillSelect under the Reports Tab. The ceilings have been mentioned for only about 300 odd occupations, as against more than 500 occupations in CSOL Sch 1 + 2. Obviously, ceilings have not been given individually for all the occupations. So how to figure this out. Senior Members any comments on this please.
Cheers!
