Default need help

Hi
need expert advice
I have a four year undergraduate degree in Telecmmunications and am
planning to take up my masters in Australia.I have two choices, either
take up masters in the Infotech field else in telecommunications. What
I would like to know is that if I do my masters in Telecommunications
engineering in Australia what are my chances of PR considering that i
have two years IT experience and an undergraduate degree in
telecommunications? The course is for only one year.Does this affect
the prospects?
Also,if i take up an infotech course like masters in Information
technology or Masters in Information systems, the course lengths vary
from 1 year to 1.5 years.what course length will be advisable
considering the new ACS guidelines? Will it lessen my prospects if the
course in question is acceditated by the ACS only at teh associate
level,not the professional level?
Thanks for listening to me and will wait for a reply
Regards

Rohit

Hi Rohit,

This is not really a good forum for people planning to convert from studies
in Australia to PR, and without a lot more information I would be reluctant
to advise you. One of the difficulties we are finding with a lot of onshore
students is that various promises are made to them about the effectiveness
of their studies which turn out not to be true after arrival.
Unfortunately, most education agents are not migration agents and are driven
largely by a profit motive.

If you do want to send me a cv I will be happy to consider it, however you
should perhaps email IEAust to see whether your proposed degree combination
will be acceptable to it. With the end of IT fast tracking, a lot of
engineers are becoming engineers again :-)

Cheers
