Migration Program for FY07/08
The DIAC announced on 8 May 2007 that the planning number for the Migration Programme FY07/08 will be set at 152,800 places, with Skilled Migration Stream increase of 5,000 places to 102,500. It is estimated that some 750 places will be available under State-Specific and Regional Migration initiatives.
Family Stream is maintained at 50,000 places. In FY 06/07, the number of partner visas in the family scheme was increased by 4,000 places. This level is maintained for FY07/08 migration programme at 50,000 places.
