Migration to Australia- Engineer
Hi
How do I go about finding a job/visa for working in Oz?
I'm 29, a Uk citizin, a mechanical design engineer, have a Degree, am
single and have 5 years experience.
It should be easy?
I have no idea where to start, the 'agents' on the net charge a
fourtune.
Regards
Mart

Re: Migration to Australia- Engineer
It's amazing that people can find their way to a newsgroup like this
and not do a few basic searches on the web ... (especially an
engineer).
However, the places to start looking are:
http://www.immi.gov.au and
http://www.ieaust.org.au
Reading through the last few months postings on this NG should also
help.

This is not intended to be legal advice in any jurisdiction

With your being 29 I'd look sharp about investigating the possibility as you MAY accrue less points if you are in your thirties as at the time of application.
One possible route is the Skilled Migration route (visit http://www.immi.gov.au for details) ...
As to job searching try http://www.seek.com.au
