Default Mercedes-Benz technician wanted-Australia

Hi
I am the service manager of Silver-Star Motors Mercedes-Benz in Doncaster,
Melbourne, Victoria.
We are currently looking to employ up to 3 more suitable technicians,
preferably with Mercedes-Benz experience.
If you are from the UK or South Africa in particular, or anywhere else in
fact, and thinking of possibly emigrating, please consider that we might be
able to offer you employment, which may assist you in your visa
applications.

I would love to hear from you.
Please send a cover letter and resume to;

[email protected]

Hope to hear from you soon.

Klaus

Excellent opportunity for some more south Africans terrorised by kaffas to
seek refuge in Australia.

I think they meant: as long as you know a Benz from a Fiat.

It's "Kaffir's" not "kaffas". If you are going to be insulting at
least get it right.

OK, this is a distasteful topic, but I'm just curious:

Linguistically, wasn't "kaffEr" the Afrikaanser adoption of the Arab word
"kafir"? The latter meaning unbelievers and applied to the black slaves
they took (Muslims aren't allowed to have Muslims slaves, officially, but
apparently it was OK if slaves were non-Muslims). The former then was an
adopted term applied to all blacks.

Do I have that right?

Well yes, but I emphasized the UK/South African point, as the prospects from
these countries have the advantage of experience on RHD cars.
Of course if you are a good technician, I am happy to hear from you.

If you're 'gonna' get it right, then GET it right:

NO APOSTROPHE BEFORE S IN PLURALS:

Kaffirs, not Kaffir's. (Or Kaffers, not Kaffer's, if you prefer that
spelling.)

Fact remains that, irrespective of origin, it is now a term of abuse.
