Congratulations you are so lucky. We had our 457 visa lodged end of Jan this year. My husband and childrens meds have been processed and passed. I unfortunately am still waiting, becoming paranoid and viewing every tiny little cough from myself as a potential raging disease coursing through my body and expecting to drop at any second no one seems to know what the hold up is and speculation is all we have. Hopefully all is ok, i have never been sick in my life and can count on 1 hand how many times i have needed t go to doc's. Hoping to hear by end of this week

I have already convinced myself that I am at deaths door and won't pass a medical. Fingers crossed for you, although I don't think anything to worry about, if you never go to docs must be a good sign!

Cheers for that, i got so paranoid i called the practice where we had med's done and they said x ray etc had all come back with nothing to report. How can the most optimistic person in prob' the universe go to being a gibbering wreck overnight?!
When are you due to have your medical hope everything goes ok for you.

I am still on skills assessment so it won't be a while until I do mine. I am still fretting though. I haven't been to doctors in years and never have a day off work but I am one of those people that reads about an illness and then am sure I am displaying the symptons

I have nevertheless put myself on a diet and started to go to gym more though. My husband thinks I am mad.

what about the urine sample part of the test and women during menstruation... I was only able to get my appointment during "that time of the month" will I be screwed? I didn't realize there was blood in my urine during menstruation! And I don't have the luxury of extra time to rebook or go back for more samples...

I wondered about this as was only a couple of days after. I had to do test again on same day and they sent off to lab, this was on a friday and result came back clear following Monday. All it means is that traces of blood may be found they may just need you to re-do sample only takes 15 minutes or so. They also check for protein and bacteria so wouldn't worry too much. Is the centre far away from where you live mine was only 15 minuted drive away so wasn't too worried if i had to go back.

I did my medical today and all was good. No problems with urine sample. So they should be sent tomorrow as per the doctor. Hope that Australia gets it on Monday...
