Just thought you might like to know that ASPC seem to be processing applicants from Dec 2002. We received our letter on June 2.

Hi Castory1

Congrats and I have one question: are you from United Kingdom, because
it's really fast.

Good luck,
Ritka

Hi,
We also recieved our request for Medicals about 3 weeks ago, 136 Visa, and were from the UK although already in OZ on a 457 visa so all communication done in OZ. Medical results all sent back and confirmed with Case Officer on the 3rd June. Fingers crossed there trying to push these through for the end of the financial year in OZ, a quota thing I think...
Applied Dec 4th 2002

Hi Steve
Do you have to leave OZ in order to collect your visa when it's granted?

For a Skilled Independent visa, subclass 136, he will need to leave
Australia with his family (usually to Auckland) to be granted his
visa.
