Default Medical Test

When actually one should get medical test done? Does one receive any official
information for medicals from consulate office or has to apply directly on getting
assessment result positive?

Tina, you should get the medicals and police clearance done only after you hear from
DIMIA.-Biren

Thanks Biren. Is the procedure for 'Skilled Independent Overseas students' and
'Skilled Independent' categories different? Coz, i have heard that the students
applying for PR directly from australia are getting their medicals/PCC done soon
after getting assessment result and filing their case alongwith medicals/PCC. While,
I have applied for PR, before 10 months from India, and i haven't recd. any
information from DIMIA for medicals test,etc.... Few of my friends who have gone
there for studies and have applied for PR, suggested me to apply for medicals
directly without waiting for information from Consulate/DIMIA. So i think the
procedure may be different in both categories.

Tina.
