Default MCSE which ANZSCO code ? 261111 or 261112

Hi,

I have one question. If anyone in a similar situation, kindly share your views.

As per ACS website, MSCE, acquired after 1997 renders one eligible for positive skill assessment under group B.

My experience matches both 261111 and 261112. My question is - on the basis of MSCE, which code is suitable for me ? 261111, 261112 or anything else ?

Please help, I am about to submit my acs re-assessment (new assessment)

Cheers,

TAA

Check this link,
http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/[email protected]+Analysts

Both 261111 & 261112 job descriptions are looking very similar. I don't know why DIAC allocate two differenct ANZCO for closely related jobs.

Hi,

I am also sending my documents for re-assessment today, I have prepared my application for 261111, Periviosly I was assessed for 2231-79 (Network Security Specialist).
I am choosing ICT one as it there qualification standard and afraid to choose 261112 as it might again have some trouble when I luanch my application for GSM 175.

So I think you are on the same page that you don't want to wait for SMP to be announced and want to try a luck with 261111 ?

Cheers

My advise would be to speak to an agent before submitting, it seems many people are making mistakes when its comes to this.

I was at job event on Friday, and the agent said in the presentation. many applications being sent to acs now are being sent under the wrong codes, due to the mapping.

My friend was told because he had a Oracle specialisation he could get 261111 and 261112.

some good mara agent will off a one charge consultant fee to check this for you.

Wookie, Jami and Chapster,

Thank you all for your wonderful comments.

I am thinking about getting professional advice from a MARA certified agent.

Meanwhile, I am waiting for any states to release their SMP list but it seems unlikely because of the on-going elections.

Cheers,

TAa

Hi TRA,

If you have enough points for GSM175, then go for it (you have 25 point for IELTS). Don't waste your time for SS. Although SMP is in 2nd priority list for processing, hope there will be very little time difference between 175 ad 176.

Dear Jami,

That my dilema !. I am 40 and I don't have enough points despite scoring max in IELTS !!.

You are right, SMP and SS may not have that much time difference. and waiting for SMP + waiting for ACS + waiting for SMP approval = 9 months !.

So I am gonna reassess, apply for SS and then apply for 176. hopefully, I wil get my visa within 18 months.

What is your status BTW ? When will you be leaving ? which state ? where are you from ? Karachi ?

Cheers,

TAA

Just FYI, I have sent my application for re-assessment for 261111 (ICT Business analyst) yesterday. As the last date of acceptance of application is 13Aug for transitional arrangments.

My husband is in the same boat. He has all his documents ready for ACS assessment, but our agent is doubtful that the 261112 is going to be on the WA smp... so they have suggested that he apply for 261111 since it has a better chance of being on the WA smp. From what we understood, the 261112 criteria is very similar to 261111.

We're going to try our luck and ask our agent to go ahead with acs application under 261111. Btw, hubby's current profession is a systems analyst.

Guys,

I have spoken with the QLD state immigration people, and they said " Whilst I am reasonably confidant that the ANZSCO occupation 261111 will appear on the plan..."

So, 261111 is it for me..

Preparing paperwork ...

Cheers,

Guys,

Sadly enough, the bloke at the QLD SS had to be asked a simple question "5" times but he still doesn't know that 261111 is not systems designer, its ICT Business Analyst!!

I would love to share my communication with him over here but that won't be right!

I have given up on him !.

Australia needs us ! (and I mean competent people!)

Cheers,

Chapstar,

I am also interested to apply for skill assessment under ANZSCO Code- 261111. My previous assessment was under ASCO Code 2231-79 ( Network Security Specialist).

What is your current status of re-assessment for 261111 (ICT Business Analyst)?

Did you already receive the final letter from ACS or it is still in Process ?

Please reply me.

Best regards
