may 06 - fee taken from DIMIA

Hello, we applied end of May 2006 and the fee was taken a few days ago,
do we get an acknowledgement and when are we likely to grt a get a case
officer? Would love to hear progress from may applicants, just want to
know that they may be doing something!

Hi Priya,

You will get ack letter very soon. If your are a MODL apploicant you
will get a Case officer after 4-5 months n for non-MODL applicants it
will take appx. 2 months more for medical request. Im a Jan 2006
applicant. Done my medical last week. So fingers crossed for my
application.

Thank you, our application is MODL so hopefully in 4-5 months!
hopefully the acknowledgemt will come soon so i know that the process
has begun!

Hi Priya,

Yeah 4-5 months max for Medical request if ur occupation is in demand
list and DIMA will deliver ack letter within a month after applying.
Whats ur occupation n where ru from ??? Just curious...Im from India n
applied under 137 STNI visa

You might want to check www.austimeline.com
for other people's timelines. I applied Mid-May and got my ack. 18 days
later.

hey me to applied in May 26th ,06 but till date not got ack. yet........I have applied in MDOL 136 and 2 days back I got my STNI approval from VIC...now waiting for ack..........

AND yes keep this thread alive for may applicants

same hear sent it off 26th may now the waiting game
we are modl on STNI 137
as they say patience is a virtue

Hello just to let you know i got me acknowledgement letter today. I
have to do an IELTS test, even though my first language is English and
i did my degree in English! My passport is Kenya so i need to do the
test!!

I'll keep you posted!

Congrats. What is timeline they have mentioned on ur ack letter ???
IELTS in mandatory to every applicant except UK residents ..
