Guys, Did anyone of you have anything to share? I went for Medicals on 7-Apr and uploaded my Form-80. No status change or any update happen yet.
How long it normally takes to refer/finalize the medicals, if thats allready being received by DIAC from my medical place.

Applied for 457 on 25 March 2010 through an agent, low risk country (UK). Application acknowledged but no case-officer received.

Hi All,
I am 176 CSL SS paperbased applicant,applied on 15 March'10, CO has not been assigned yet. Any Idea about CO allocation for HR countries.
I have read on this forum that many applicants frontload there PCC, Medicals & form 80 before the allocation / requirement by CO, is it worthwile to do this, as on Immi website it is said to be done on CO request.
I have confirmed from the one agent that IOM Clinic in Pakistan will not do the medical unless provide them Medical request form by DIAC.
Should I do it or wait for CO allocation and his request for all above, will this expedite my case.
Plz advise.

PCC and Meds have validity of 1 year , and after priority processing guideline, your application can take from 6 months to 3 years to finalized.
You are on CSL thus your application may take 6-15 months.
From community many people (175/176)got their visa within 3-4 month time, if you are lucky then fine but if not then you may have to do PCC and medical again on your cost.
I suggest you to wait till co asked , Inshallah you will get soon.
I belive even some one already done PCC/Meds before co asked, will not effect his time line as DIAC has to do employment and education cross check which takes time , usually they do initiate process as soon as co assigned.

March 2010 457 visa applicants
Just want to open a thread for people who lodged their 457 application in March to sort of have a sense of the current processing timescale here.
Here's mine:
3.10 nomination approved
3.13 online application lodged
3.17 physical finalized
3.22 CO assigned and asked for further information
4.9 further information received (actually sent on 3.29, but took them so long to response
)
No further contact from the CO since then... Still waiting patiently

Thanks for ur reply.. they have given me 70 days time to submit all... But im uploading all as and when i receive!
i feel DIAC are still processing mine (i thot my file will be kept aside for 70 days
)
My meds was uploaded on 2nd April and its status was chaned to 'Met' today.. So something is happening

For meds,
you need to go to hospital mentioned on DIAC site
undergo medical examiniation and tests as per guideline
pay money
take awb number of you medical report shipment , wait 2 days , get confirmation from doc that your report is normal and sent to hoc
monitor your shipment once reached to hoc again wait for few days
if meds status is not changed , its purely your decesion to open a PLE or wait again for few days. Loop
There is nothing like meds upload which you can do.
I can't clarify s-jose comments, I guess , he might have used for medical , by mistake , same term used for PCC.

Am July 09 applicant - happy to see March 10 people getting co assigned - and medicals being requested.
I have given up all 'hopes' and now settled with what I am doing .....
