Malaysian Airlines Special Immigrant Fare
For those who may want to use Malaysia Airlines (MH) in their trips to Australia, the airline has the following:
1. You must quote "Immigrant Fare for Australia"
2. Tickets must be purchased from Malaysia Airlines only, not travel agent.
3. The baggage allowance is 40Kg each (including child fare)
4. You need to provide evidence of the Permanent Visa and valid for one-way tickets only.
Call Malaysia Airlines office nearest to you.
BTW, I don't work for Malaysia Airlines.
The downside is that the some airlines offer very much better prices than the above and paying for the additional baggage may even be cheaper, depending on where you fly.

Chana, Thanks for posting that. We thinking of using Malaysia but I hadn't heard
about the "Immigrant Fare". Keeping an eye out on airline info in case I actually do
get the go-ahead for the visa ..grin

Also be aware that booking directly with the airline can be quite a bit more expensive than booking through a travel agent/consolidator

Re: Malaysian Airlines Special Immigrant Fare
Hi all....I have just checked with Malaysian Airlines in Singapore....They have told
me that this promotin is only from KL (Kuala lampur - Malaysia) to Australia.
Anyone flying from other parts of the world, please dont depend on that.
Good luck and have a nice journey
